The Reset is an everyday-action and community-discovery app. Here is exactly how it handles information.
What you can do without telling us anything
You can get a reset action, explore resources and events, and share an encouragement card without an account, a name, an email, or any contact details. There is no questionnaire.
The choices you make — which category you tapped, which action you saw — live only in your browser's temporary memory and disappear when you refresh or leave. We never save your personal action history in our database.
What we count
To understand whether The Reset is useful, we keep simple daily totals — for example, how many reset cards were shown or how many times a resource link was tapped. These counters never include who did anything: no names, no accounts, no device identifiers, no IP addresses, no precise locations, and no per-person timelines.
If you arrived from a Reset water bottle, jar, or event, the link may carry a shared batch code (like "BOTTLE-2026") so we know which batch of materials is reaching people. The code is shared by everyone in that batch — it is never unique to you or your bottle.
In reports, groups smaller than 10 interactions are hidden, so small groups can't be singled out. These numbers show activity, not individual people, health outcomes, or verified purchases.
What we never collect from participants
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Birth dates
- Symptoms, diagnoses, medications, or any health information
- Screening results or journal entries
- Employer or employee IDs
- Precise location (we never ask for GPS or your address)
- Persistent identifiers that would recognize you across visits
We do not use advertising pixels, session-recording tools, fingerprinting, or third-party behavioral analytics, and this app does not include an AI chat or AI-generated advice.
Sharing a reset
"Send a reset" creates a link to a standalone encouragement card. The link contains only a public card ID — never your category, your choices, or anything about you. Tapping the share button opens your device's own sharing options; nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and we never see or store your recipients.
Partner applications
Businesses that apply to become Reset Partners share business contact details (business name, contact name, email). Applications are private, visible only to our review team, and are kept separate from participant activity. Submitting an application never creates a public listing.
The services that run the app
Like most apps, The Reset runs on hosting and database infrastructure (provided by Lovable Cloud). Those systems keep their own technical logs — for example, standard web-server records that can include IP addresses or browser details — which are governed by the infrastructure provider's own retention settings. We are reviewing those logging and retention settings as part of our launch checklist, and we do not use them to build profiles of anyone.
Because of that infrastructure layer, we don't claim the app is "fully anonymous," and The Reset is not a covered health service — please don't treat it as one. If you have questions about how the app handles information, ask us at a community event or through our partner contact channels.
